Tres Enerji – A RSPV project in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli, Türkiye

GEFF Türkiye financing supports renewable energy projects and ESCO financing, with PV panels selected from Green Technology Selector (GTS).

As an energy service company (ESCO), Tres Enerji, a subsidiary of Consus Enerji, offers solutions focused on energy generation and management.

Tres Enerji and its client Köknar Paper Factory decided to cooperate in an ESCO finance model for a renewable energy project. GEFF Türkiye offered them finance blended with a comprehensive technical assistance in this financing ESCO model and Tres Enerji (as ESCO) decided to work with GEFF Türkiye for this project.

Within the project, in 2023, Tres Enerji selected the solar PV panels from Green Technology Selector (GTS), and installed a 957 kWp rooftop solar power plant in the Lüleburgaz/Kırklareli factory in order to reduce the energy costs of the Köknar Paper factory. An Energy Performance Contract was signed between Tres Energy and Köknar Kağıt.

The total loan amount was €568,738 and as a result of the investment, the RSPV is planned to provide 976 MWh electricity savings per year.

The plant is expected to help reduction of the CO₂ emissions up to 343 tonnes per year and will help a significant reduction in company’s carbon footprint.

The Green Economy Financing Facility in Türkiye (GEFF Türkiye) was developed by The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is supported by Clean Technology Fund (CTF), Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF) and EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.
