TurSEFF financing is contributing to expanding Türkiye’s e-mobility infrastructure by supporting the installation of new high-speed EV charging units, with the EV charging units selected from Green Technology Selector (GTS).
Voltrun Enerji A.Ş., founded in 2016 within Zebra Elektronik, is one of the leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network operators in Türkiye. The company provides charging solutions that are compatible with a wide range of EV models across the country.
Voltrun aimed to modernize and expand its EV charging network to meet the growing demand for fast and efficient EV charging services. The company needed a reliable financial partner to support its investments in next-generation charging infrastructure.
TurSEFF supported this investment and the EV chargers were selected with the Green Technology Selector (GTS) in 2024.
With €2,167,972 TurSEFF financing, Voltrun procured and installed 39 advanced charging units that support both AC and DC fast charging. These chargers offer greater compatibility with different EV models, reduce charging time, and improve overall user experience.
The project helped Voltrun expand its service coverage across Türkiye, significantly improving access to fast-charging options for EV drivers. It contributed to better user satisfaction and increased efficiency in Türkiye’s EV charging ecosystem.
By supporting the shift to clean transport, the project is expected to help reduce transport-related carbon emissions, contributing to Türkiye’s low-carbon mobility targets.
Türkiye Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (TurSEFF) was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and is co-funded by the European Union (EU), the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance (MoTF), and supported by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MoENR).
