GEFF loans for businesses

Note: at present, as GEFF is new and there is only one participating financial institution (PFI) so far, there are no loan products for businesses.  The only loan products so far are for physical persons (individuals).  It this situation changes, it will be announced on this page.

GEFF is not only for household borrowers.  It is for the residential sector.  This means that businesses whose products or services are for households are also eligible to use the facility, providing that those products or services help households to become more green.

Business lending is not subject to the maximum credit value of €100,000 that applies to GEFF credits to households.  The maximum GEFF credit value for a business loan is €5 million.

GEFF is designed to be extremely flexible.  Participating Financial Institutions may use GEFF to extend loans to any service company providing maintenance, operation, installation, construction, refurbishment or similar services under existing or presumed future contractual agreements with individuals or group of Individuals or housing associations for the purposes of implementing an eligible sub-project.  Also, vendors of energy efficiency or renewable energy technologies who may wish to offer term financing to households and who are prepared to meet GEFF reporting and accounting requirements may be considered for financing.

If PFIs decided to use GEFF to lend to businesses, the application procedure will be simple:
