In order to achieve lower energy consumption, and thus save money, it was important for the Stojkovic family from Sremska Mitrovica that the newly built house be energy efficient.

To reduce energy losses, Zoran Stojakovic decided to invest in thermal insulation and highly energy efficient PVC windows through the GEFF programme for the Western Balkans.

The total value of the investment was EUR 3,700, and the incentive provided by the EU was EUR 740.

The family now heats the house more easily, maintaining room temperatures at 20-22°C during the winter, and achieves energy savings of 5 MWh per year, which also saves money.

And most importantly – with the increase in living comfort, environmental pollution is reduced.

The GEFF programme for the Western Balkans is supported by the European Union (EU), the Federal Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Austria and the Western Balkans Investment Framework in cooperation with the Energy Community Secretariat (ECS).
