On 2 and 7 May 2026, Open Day events were held at the “Tanzila” demonstration farm located in the Vakhsh district of Khatlon region for clients and partners of Arvand Bank and the Investment and Credit Bank of Tajikistan, organised within the framework of the GEFF II Tajikistan programme. The events aimed to raise awareness among farmers about green financing opportunities and modern sustainable agricultural technologies designed to improve productivity and promote efficient use of resources.
The events brought together farmers, as well as existing and potential clients of the banks. During the theoretical sessions, participants were introduced to green financing instruments, access conditions for climate-friendly technologies, and the advisory and technical support opportunities available under GEFF II Tajikistan.
The practical sessions took place directly at the demonstration site, where participants were introduced to modern agricultural solutions, including drip irrigation and fertigation systems, vertical farming, solar panels and other renewable energy solutions, biogas systems, biofertilisers, modern greenhouse technologies, and digital solutions for agriculture.
The “Tanzila” demonstration farm served as a platform for experience sharing and practical demonstration of how innovative and resource-efficient technologies can contribute to the effective and sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
The Open Days organised with the participation of GEFF II Tajikistan financial partner institutions are aimed at strengthening practical knowledge among farmers and entrepreneurs, while also expanding access to modern green technologies and financing for sustainable agricultural solutions in Tajikistan.
The GEFF II Tajikistan programme is supported by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Austrian Ministry of Finance, and the Republic of Korea through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with the objective of expanding access to green finance and modern climate-resilient technologies in Tajikistan.
