On 26 August 2026, an information session was held in Mastchoh District under the GEFF II Tajikistan programme to raise awareness among farmers and entrepreneurs about modern green technologies and available financing opportunities.

The event took place at the Agro-Industrial Lyceum of Mastchoh District and brought together farmers, representatives of agricultural enterprises and associations, small and medium-sized businesses, potential clients of Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs), technology suppliers, as well as specialists and experts from the agricultural sector.

The main objective of the meeting was to introduce participants to practical opportunities for applying green technologies in agriculture and other business sectors. Particular attention was given to how modern energy- and resource-efficient solutions can contribute to more efficient use of resources and support the sustainable development of businesses.

During the event, participants were introduced to the GEFF II Tajikistan programme and the financing opportunities available for green technologies. A dedicated presentation focused on green technologies that can be implemented within the framework of the Green Economy Financing Facility in Tajikistan, Phase II (GEFF II).

An important objective of the meeting was not only to provide information on available technologies and financing opportunities, but also to create a platform for direct interaction between farmers, entrepreneurs, technology suppliers and financial institutions. This format enables potential beneficiaries to obtain relevant information, ask practical questions and identify the next steps towards implementing green solutions.

Participants also had an opportunity to discuss their questions with representatives of GEFF II and Partner Financial Institutions. The meeting concluded with a general question-and-answer session.

Regional outreach events of this kind are an important part of GEFF II Tajikistan’s efforts to promote green financing beyond major urban centres. They help make information about modern technologies and financing opportunities more accessible to farmers and entrepreneurs at the local level, while encouraging knowledge exchange and strengthening direct links between businesses, technology suppliers and financial institutions.
