Eligibility Criteria for GEFF II Tajikistan

GEFF II Tajikistan helps clients of its financial partners identify and implement a wide range of green projects — from small farms to large-scale agricultural and industrial enterprises. Learn more about available financing opportunities and project requirements.

Who Can Apply for Financing

The following categories are eligible for financing under GEFF II:

• Farmers and farming households
• Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
• Agro and industrial businesses interested in modernization, improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact
• Companies and entrepreneurs operating in agriculture, agri-food chains, processing, storage, logistics, food and beverage production, packaging, transportation and other related sectors

Special Focus on Women Entrepreneurs

GEFF II places a strong emphasis on supporting projects led by women. The programme encourages the development of women’s entrepreneurship by creating equal opportunities to access financing and implement green technologies. What Technologies Can Be Financed

GEFF II supports two main categories of investments:

1️.Investments in standard, pre-approved, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies available through the online Green Technology Selector.

2️.Tailored complex projects that contribute to reducing energy and resource consumption, efficient water use and improved environmental performance. These projects undergo expert assessment and approval by the GEFF II team of technical consultants.

Green Technology Selector

All technologies listed in the Green Technology Selector are pre-approved and can be financed more easily and quickly. If you use equipment or materials that meet technical criteria but are not yet included in the Selector, you can submit a request for them to be added.

Project Assessment and Support

The GEFF II team of technical consultants provides free support to clients to:

• Assess the technical feasibility of the project
• Identify suitable solutions
• Prepare the project for financing

Financing is provided in line with the requirements and criteria of the selected financial partner.

Examples of Eligible Technologies

Some examples of technologies that may be financed include:

• Intensive orchards with drip irrigation
• Irrigation pipes (from 50 mm)
• Energy-efficient water pumps
• Modern greenhouses (glass or polyethylene film thicker than 100 microns)
• Tractors and harvesters with low specific fuel consumption
• Agricultural processing equipment (with at least 20% energy/water savings)
• Cold storage units with energy-efficient insulation
• Rainwater collection and storage systems (tanks from 20 m³)
