First Seminar on Green Technology Lending under GEFF II Tajikistan for MDO IMON International
On July 29, the first introductory seminar under the GEFF II program was held for middle management and branch leaders of MDO IMON International. As one of Tajikistan’s largest financial institutions, IMON International has operated in the microfinance sector for over 20 years and has a nationwide network of 127 branches.
Key highlights of the seminar included:
An overview of the lending principles and the life cycle of a GEFF green sub-project;
Presentation of the core technologies, equipment, and measures eligible for financing under GEFF II to support climate change mitigation and adaptation;
Discussion of marketing strategies and sales methods for promoting green technologies.
Organization and Delivery:
The seminar was conducted by GEFF II consultants, led by GOPA-International Energy Consultants GmbH (Intec) in collaboration with consortium partners Agriculture & Finance Consultants GmbH (AFC) and Central Asia International Consulting (CAI Consulting).
Active Participation and Knowledge Sharing:
The consultants shared valuable insights and responded to all participant questions, fostering a dynamic atmosphere of active engagement and constructive dialogue.
This seminar marks the first in a series of capacity-building events aimed at supporting and promoting green technologies across Tajikistan.
