GEFF II Training for Credit Experts of HUMO’s Bokhtar Branch: Enhancing Practical Skills in Green Finance
On August 5, 2025, a training session was held at HUMO’s Bokhtar branch for credit experts under the GEFF II program. The event brought together 18 specialists, including four women. The training aimed to strengthen professional competencies in green finance and improve the quality of subproject assessment.
The training program covered several key modules:
• Green Technology Selector — using the tool to identify optimal solutions considering climate and economic factors;
• Energy Efficiency — monitoring methods and practical approaches to reducing resource consumption;
• Renewable Energy — solar panels, biogas plants, and their integration into existing infrastructure;
• Climate Adaptation Technologies — engineering solutions to increase resilience to extreme weather conditions;
• GEFF Target Sectors — priority areas for financing sustainable development;
• Subproject Verification and Error Review — verification procedures, analysis of common mistakes, and best practices for prevention.
The training was conducted by certified GEFF II experts — Sadriddin Juraev (agriculture specialist), Sino Rukniddinov (financial and economic expert), and Parvin Jabborov (lead engineer). In addition, the vendor ZAO GlobaTech took part, sharing practical solutions and implementation experience.
The GEFF II program in Tajikistan is implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with financial support from the Green Climate Fund, the Republic of Austria, and the Republic of Korea. Through such trainings, GEFF II contributes to the development of a more environmentally sustainable economy and the capacity-building of financial institutions across the country.
