GEFF II Training for HUMO Credit Experts in Khuroson: Innovative Water-Saving Solutions

On August 20, 2025, a training session was held in Khuroson for HUMO credit experts under the GEFF II program. The event gathered 18 participants, including six women. The training focused on “Fiber concrete coatings and mechanical pumps and their financing for water-saving projects within GEFF II.”

The training covered:
• the advantages of fiber concrete coatings in agriculture and construction as resource-efficient solutions;
• mechanical pumps and their role in optimizing water use;
• financing mechanisms for these technologies through GEFF II instruments;
• practical examples of implementing water-saving projects in Tajikistan.

The sessions were led by certified GEFF II experts — Sadriddin Juraev (agriculture specialist), Sino Rukniddinov (financial and economic expert), and Parvin Jabborov (lead engineer). In addition, the vendor ZAO GlobaTech participated, presenting practical solutions and implementation experience.

The GEFF II program in Tajikistan is implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with financial support from the Green Climate Fund, the Republic of Austria, and the Republic of Korea. Through such trainings, GEFF II contributes to the development of a more environmentally sustainable economy and the capacity-building of financial institutions across the country.
