On 28 August 2026, an awareness-raising workshop for women was held at the Isfara City Government building. The event focused on the benefits of green financing and opportunities to introduce environmentally sustainable technologies. It brought together 25 women interested in entrepreneurship, agriculture and modern green solutions.
The workshop was organised under the second phase of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Green Economy Financing Facility in Tajikistan (GEFF II Tajikistan). During the event, participants learned about the key principles of green financing, its benefits and the opportunities it offers for business development and household improvements.
Particular attention was given to energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, the efficient use of natural resources and practical examples of green technology applications.
Participants also received information on purchasing green equipment, cooperating with technology suppliers and applying for financing through GEFF II partner financial institutions.
During the open discussion, participants had an opportunity to ask questions and explore how green technologies could be applied in their businesses, agricultural activities and households.
Such events help raise women’s awareness of green financing, expand their access to modern technologies and support them in making informed investment decisions. The workshop also provided a platform for exchanging experiences, establishing business contacts and learning about the support available under GEFF II Tajikistan.
GEFF II Tajikistan is implemented by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with financial support from the Green Climate Fund, the Austrian Ministry of Finance and the Republic of Korea.
