As Koç Enerji is an energy operator company which has licensed biogas plants that are currently operating in Diyarbakır, Ankara and Kırşehir. They also have a solar plant in Ukraine, and they plan new investments.
As Koç Enerji invested 3.12 MWe biogas plant in Karabiga, Çanakkale. The Company has supply contracts with nearby farms to supply cattle, poultry waste and other organic wastes such as grain straw or corn stalk. Project is important for environmental and energy-supply sustainability.
As a result of the investment, the plant will provide 18,432 MWh electricity generation and reduce the CO2 emissions up to 5,898 tonnes per year. This green energy investment will contribute mitigation of climate change’s negative impacts.
