SAMARKAND, Uzbekistan – GEFF Uzbekistan successfully participated in Eco Expo Central Asia 2026, one of the region’s leading sustainability-focused events, engaging with businesses, technology providers, financial institutions and policymakers interested in advancing green investment and sustainable development.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, the GEFF Uzbekistan stand attracted strong interest from representatives of government institutions, international organisations, financial institutions, private companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking practical solutions to improve resource efficiency, reduce operating costs and strengthen business competitiveness.
GEFF specialists presented financing opportunities available through local partner banks, Ipak Yuli Bank and Hamkorbank, and explained how businesses can access finance for investments in eligible green technologies. Discussions focused on solutions that help enterprises reduce energy and water consumption, improve operational efficiency and enhance resilience through investments in modern equipment and technologies.
Particular interest was generated by the Green Technology Selector (GTS), GEFF’s online platform featuring thousands of pre-approved green technology solutions. Visitors learned how the platform can help businesses identify eligible equipment and technology suppliers, while suppliers explored opportunities to showcase their products, expand market visibility and connect with potential customers seeking financing for green investments.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the economic benefits of green technologies among Uzbek businesses. Many companies are increasingly looking for ways to reduce production costs, improve productivity and meet growing sustainability expectations, making access to information, technical expertise and finance more important than ever.
Eco Expo Central Asia served as an important platform for dialogue between international financial institutions, technology providers, policymakers and the private sector. The event highlighted the growing demand for sustainable investment solutions in Uzbekistan and reinforced the important role that green finance can play in supporting the country’s green transition, private sector competitiveness and long-term sustainable economic development.
Through its participation, GEFF Uzbekistan continues to promote greater awareness of green technologies and sustainable finance, helping businesses identify investment opportunities that deliver both environmental and economic benefits.
