By showcasing technology alternatives and associated benefits, EBRD Green Economy Financing Facilities (GEFFs) demonstrate the business case for investment in higher-performing technologies, services and practices.
The EBRD has channelled over €6.6 billion to green projects via 206 financial institutions across 29 countries. This has enabled more than 236,000 green investments that collectively, together with funding from our co-financing partners, avoid almost 11 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Our Green Economy Financing Facilities (GEFFs) support businesses and home owners to invest in green technologies. Since the launch of this financing instrument, and with the support of donors, the EBRD has distributed over €6.6 billion via 206 participating financial institutions to support more than 236,000 green investments across 29 countries. Together with funding from our co-financing partners to date, the GEFFs avoid almost 11 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
