GEFF’s participation at the 5th Green DNA Forum: Driving Green Finance Initiatives
(English) The 5th Strategies for Transition to Green Economy Forum, “Green DNA,” was a highly anticipated event that took place on July 11, 2023, at the Intercontinental Citystars Hotel.
With pressing environmental challenges and the imperative of sustainability at the forefront, this event provided a platform for leaders, experts to collaboratively address the urgent issues of climate change, environmental degradation, and sustainable development. The forum represented a crucial opportunity to chart a sustainable course, fostering innovative solutions and shaping a future that prioritizes environmental responsibility and global well-being.
The event focused on green financing products and the vital role of technical support to ensure a sustainable impact. With over 500 participants, the event garnered significant attention from key stakeholders in the field of green economy and sustainable finance.
Representing the GEFF Egypt programme, Team Leader Mr. Emad Hassan participated in the panel discussion titled ‘Green Financing Products and the Importance of Technical Support to Ensure Sustainable Impact.’ He was joined by esteemed panelists from renowned organizations including Finance in Motion, Alliance for Green Transition, Egypt Post, UNIDO Egypt, Egyptian Pollution Abatement Program, and the Regional Center for Sustainable Finance.
The panel discussion revolved around the profound significance of financial and technical assistance for green initiatives, encompassing an array of financial instruments tailored to the Egyptian market and designed to bolster green projects.
During his presentation, the GEFF Team Leader highlighted how GEFF’s innovative financing products have effectively addressed sustainable development challenges, catalyzing a positive transformation in the readiness of the business community to embrace green projects. Furthermore, the session explored cutting-edge financing solutions for green projects and shed light on the feasibility of low-cost financing options.
