We are pleased to announce the launch of Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) developed by the EBRD in Moldova, the first and only gender-responsive green on-lending facility in the country that promotes sustainable investments with partner financial institutions (PFIs) with the donor support of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of Turkey.
GEFF Moldova is a credit line facility of up to €20 million to PFIs in Moldova to on-lend to private sector sub-borrowers for investments in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects and services supporting the Green Economy Transition across the residential, agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors.
The Launch Event will be virtual and broadcast online on Wednesday 14 April 2021 at 11:00 am (Chisinau Time).
The event will bring together donors, local financial institutions, private sector as well as government bodies and civil society representatives. During the event, we will present how each stakeholder could benefit from the GEFF and how to lead Moldova towards a gender-responsive and green recovery.
