The EBRD has channelled over €8.0 billion to green projects via 220 financial institutions across 29 countries. This has enabled more than 268,000 green investments that collectively, together with funding from our co-financing partners, avoid almost 11 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Our Green Economy Financing Facilities (GEFFs) support businesses and home owners to invest in green technologies. Since the launch of this financing instrument, and with the support of donors, the EBRD has distributed over €8.0 billion via 220 participating financial institutions to support more than 268,000 green investments across 29 countries. Together with funding from our co-financing partners to date, the GEFFs avoid more than 11 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, and also allow to save 42 million MWh per year.
