"Green" lending for the financial market of Kyrgyzstan

On 12 June, Kompanion Bank began a series of trainings under the KyrSEFF III program.
The heads of regional branches and loan officers of the bank were familiarized with general information on the Green Economy Financing Program in Kyrgyzstan – KyrSEFF III.
The new phase will cover the following sectors:

KyrSEFF loans are supported by grants of up to 15% provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, EBRD, and accompanied by free technical support from Unison Group engineers in the form of consultations.
KyrSEFF III Project Manager Nurzat Abdyrasulova told the bankers about the successful long-term experience of implementing the program throughout Kyrgyzstan, as well as the prospects for vector development in the next 5 years.
Engineers Salavat Soronbaev and Janybek Kulumbetov presented the benefits of energy saving in both the private and business sectors. They also told Kompanion Bank employees about the Green Technology Selector. In addition, technical requirements for the borrowers and other organizational issues were discussed.
Tomorrow, 13 June, training for Kompanion Bank will continue in the bank’s regional branches.
Recall that Kompanion Bank became the first financial institution in Kyrgyzstan to join the KyrSEFF III program developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). As part of the partnership, the bank is receiving a $5 million loan to promote green lending.
